The UCAZ secretariat is headed by a Secretary General (SG) who is the Chief Executive of the Association. He is assisted by a staff compliment of 9. It includes a Personal Assistant to the SG, a Finance Manager, a Programmes Manager, a Programmes Officer, an Administration Officer, a Communications Officer, a Receptionist and an Office Orderly cum Messenger.

Mr Livison Mutekede
Secretary General
He joined UCAZ in 2008. He is responsible for the day-to-day running of UCAZ as the Accounting Officer. Mr Mutekede holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe. He holds a post graduate diploma in Rural Development and a post graduate diploma in Effective Learning Environments from WES Reserch and Consultancy Institute in Brugge, Belgium. He is currently studying for a Masters in Business Leadership. Lee is married to Clarah and they have three children, two sons and a daughter.

Ms Josephine Muzavazi: Personal Assistant (PA) to the SG
She joined UCAZ in 1991 as a typist and was promoted to PA in 2003. She holds a Executive Secretarial diploma. Ms Muzavazi is the longest serving employee at UCAZ. Ms Muzavazi is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Office Administration and Technology with the Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT).
Mr Tserayi Machinda
Programmes Manager

He joined UCAZ in 2010 as Programmes Manager. He holds a BSC Honours Degree in Politics and Administration from the University of Zimbabwe, a Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation and Data Management (U.Z.), an Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) certificate, a Certificate in Project Management and Strategic Management of Development Projects, a Certificate in Policy, Governance and Leadership, a Certificate in Train the Trainer in Good Urban Governance. Mr. Machinda is studying towards a Masters' degree in Public Policy and Governance with Africa University. He is currently completing his dissertation for the attainment of the degree in June 2015.

He has worked for over 20 years in the local government sector and has held various leadership positions in reputable international organisations such as UNDP, Mercy Corps, UZ-UCSF and in the former Ministry of Local Government, Rural and Urban Development.

Mr Walter Matikiti
Administration Officer/Acting Finance Manager
He joined UCAZ in 1994 as an administration and Finance Officer. He is responsible for administrative matters and meetings of the organs of the Association such as the Executive and Presidential committees as well as the Annual General Meeting including recordings of such meetings. Mr Matikiti is currently the Acting Finance Manager. He was appointed in February when the Finance Manager left the Association
Mr Chrispen Musekiwa
Communications Officer

He joined UCAZ in August 1995. Mr Musekiwa is responsible for the production of the UCAZ newsletter, The Urban Voice, other publications and information gathering and dissemination. He holds a Bachelor of Arts' degree (English and Communication Studies) from the Zimbabwe Open University, a diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism from the Christian College of Southern Africa (CCOSA) and a London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Certificate (LCCI) in Public Relations.

Prior to joining UCAZ Mr Musekiwa worked as a reporter for Read On Magazine (Now defunct) in Harare from 1992 to 1995.

Ms Agnes Chikwamba
Receptionist

She joined UCAZ in 2002 as an Office Orderly cum messenger. She was promoted in March 2015 to Receptionist. She is a holder of a Diploma in Administration and another diploma in Secretarial Administration both from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI) and a certificate in Personnel Assistant.
